I am not sure if one of my discus has a problem or not, my wife noticed a white glaze like stuff over his eyes it covers his entire eye. Is this something to be concerned about? If so what is it and what can I do to help him? Thanks.
For discus, I would think more than one water change a week is needed due to their need for constant supreme water conditions. If the condition is "cloudy eye" it is most definitely related to water quality. If the cloud is due to an injury, I would think it would show a darker spot somewhere on the eye and then surrounded by a lighter glaze. However, water changes will benefit this as well as an injury med.
I would think from the description, it sounds more related to cloudy eye and a boost of water changes will be needed.... maybe twice a week or more.
Are these new fish? How long have you had them in this tank?
