What is the best heater on the market today?

Love my Hydor inline, tried many but this has been the most stable.

ditto if you have a canister filter other wise what every i can find that works i have had good luck with jager though.

Finnex with digital controller
;
I have two finnex probes attached to a third party controller: so far so good, just haven't used them long enough to give them the thumbs up (or thumbs down for that matter).

I can say though, their heaters that come with controllers are a bit pricey for what you get, and their external analog/dial controller is very innacurate.

What is so nice about the Jagers is they can be calibrated.

I have a 200W Jager that I bought new in 1981 still working. Simply the best unless the glass body is a problem, then I'll take a Rena Smart Heater.

Bishop, for years I thought they were the best for the money, still have several visitherms working, someone said to me once to change them every 3 years to be on the safe side. No one is using fluval heaters(pricey)? I do not like it when you have restrictions like do not fill above the line, fully submersible is easier to use.

take a look:

Subrosa - looked at the RENA heaters- they seem very nice, anyone else using them?

I use them, I love them. I think they are great. I have a filstar xp3 so it works as an inline for me (you can get the kit to use it on any canister filter for about $13) I havn't had to readjust the dial to maintain temp, it holds where set. The first one I had I used for two and a half years before I ruined it, ran it too long with a water level too low, even then it still worked properly untill I unplugged it (had to move tank, when I plugged it back in, it was whacky.....).
