everyone is telling me to get 2, but what do they do? :help:

They basically are used to move water from one side to the other for circulation, water agitation, used in UGF/RUGF to pump water in/out, used in many reefs, ehh pretty much what i could think of off my head right now lol.

it is nececary, because you do not want all your turnover rate from the filter, and in planted tanks it allows the filter to pick up all plant gunk.

They also help prevent dead spaces in your water column by moving (circulating) water. Also some fish love the current - some dont so you need to know what you are stocking before adding the current.

i am stocking african cichlids from malawii.

k. well what kind of powerhead do i need and how much do they range in price?
