Pregnant Phantom Catfish

I was cleaning out my tank because the nitrate and nitrite levels were not at zero when I noticed there were babies swimming in the tank.

I didn't even know the phantom catfish was pregnant and I am unprepared as to what to do with the babies and the pregnant momma. She is still pregnant and my question is how do I take care of her and her babies?

Do you have pics of this "phantom cafish"? I conducted a search and all I get is results of glass catfish which are undoubtedly not able to breed in captivity. What size is the tank and what are the fish in it?

I was told that the phantom catfish and the glass catfish were the same, just known by different names. It's a 10 gallon tank and for the last month or so they've been the only ones in tank.

If they're not the ones that had the little guppies...then I'm lost.

When I search the fish the picture that comes up labeled 'glass catfish' is the fish I have and it's also called a phantom catfish.

Hmmm..Do you have pics of the fry? I still could not believe the possibility.

I'll see if i can get them out from under the rock and take that picture.

well, the fry are probably going to need brine shrimp if they are to survive.

Those are indeed glass catfish but the part about the fry is still giving me surprises.

I tried ot take a picture of the little guys but they're so tiny they don't show up.

This is only my first year or so owning fish and I never had any of them get pregnant or have any little ones.

I bought some brine shrimp for them. This is so exciting for me.
