My ammonia levels are still at 8.0 even with a 75% water change yesterday and today. I have noticed my first signs of fish stress. 4 of my fish were all rubbing against the air line tubing and "flickering" (not sure what you call it) off it. I just turned on their lights for the day and noticed that my molly has 3 white spots on his tail. I just did some quick research and it sounds like ich. Its always something! Is quick cure safe for african dwarf frogs? Also a couple of my fish look pale, would this also be from the ich? I ran out of prime yesterday, so I don't know what Im going to do now about this ammonia.

get more dechlorinator, your ammonia is so high it will not produce nitorgen cycle

to be blunt, i'm surprised anything is alive in the tank at that level

first things first, massive water changes (80%) and keep the ammonia below 1ppm - you might have to do 2-3 80% changes a day to keep it under control. this will last about a week

i've used salt with adf's to cure ich in the past; i lost a couple, not sure about meds but i wouldn't be confident

New dechlorinator won't be here until Friday!! I did vaccum my gravel both tonight and last night.

Hum, don't they have drops for that? Never used them myself, so I don't know if they are safe. You can always look it up and read reviews?

I have a brand new bottle of quick cure on hand. Im just worried about my adf's. I couldn't find a list of safe adf meds.

I would go to the nearest fish store and buy a small bottle of dechlor. You need to do big daily water changes and cannot afford to wait for Friday for the dechlor to arrive.

I don't know for sure that Quick Cure is safe for frogs. The heat and salt mehod is the way I would go. The salt may also help the stressed fish deal with the ammonia poisoning.

Get the frogs out! They absolutely DO NOT handle ammonia AT ALL. No matter what, you must remove the frogs. Ich does not affect them, but they don't handle salt well and the ammonia becomes deadly quick for frogs.
It's better to increase the heat and add salt instead of using medications. It's less stressful for the fish.

I agree- get the frogs out. Do massive water changes as many times a day as neccesary to get the ammonia down. Turn the temp up in your tank to 84 deg and add aquarium salt-(The high temp accelerates the ich lifecycle- thus it dies faster. Salt inhibits the ich reproductive cycle.) You have mollies & platies- mollies & platies (and other livebearers) actually need some salt to do well. Don't use that copper crap- it will kill your inverts.

Well, it doesn't NEED to be aquarium salt.. regular non-iodized salt works just as well. And it's cheaper.
