Is Crypt parva doable in my setup?
I really like the look of it in the foreground. Especially around the moss-covered flat
stones I will also be pl;acing in the foreground.
 
Any kind of crypt does well in low light. Look forward to seeing it all planted.

Also, your puppy is adorable. I have a pitt mix with that same sweet face.

Finished setting it up.
But it looks like I made some tea in the tank.:(

decided to run the carbon for a couple hours to see if it clears at least a little bit.

I got the CaribSea instant pea gravel. I didn't use the water conditioning came with I used to Prime. But do I use the bio additive
it came with?

Started my fishless cycling today! Yay!:D

Using DrTim's Aquatics Ammonium Chloride Solution that I got ar Drs Foster & Smith for ammonia source:

I dosed according to package directions in order to achieve 4ppm.

Results on 1/17/13:

Ammonia 4ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
PH 7.0
Temp 79° F

Will check levels in a couple days.
