Big News!
Last night I went to the local LFS's and got 2 fish! I got a full grown, or almost full grown blue chromis for $15 ("ok" price)
I read the article in Tropical Fish Hobbyist about triggers being reef safe as long as you keep them well fed. I got a 3 inch Niger triggerfish for $18! I was cautious, and asked them to feed it, and it ate well. My plan is to target feed the trigger krill pieces soaked in Selcon every two days, and to include pieces of greens/lettuce in all of the fish's diet.
The blue chromis is already swimming around, and getting along with everyone, and it looks beautiful
The trigger found a favorite cave, and hid there for the night and a few hours. I was able to lure it out with krill soaked in Selcon
It is starting to swim around a lot more. The trigger is a purplish blue, very cool looking!
The other fish and corals are doing well, and I target fed the corals the leftover Selcon. With the new addition of a trigger I plan on getting some dry rock next time I go to the LFS. Once the trigger hits the 6" mark I will see if I can find a new home with a very large tank
I understand there is a risk with getting the trigger.
The mysterious coral (flat one on a rock) has gotten kind of pinkish grey, and appears to have grown.
