I've never seen any clear evidence to suggest Bigfoot exists. I've also never seen any clear evidence to suggest Bigfoot does not exist. Burden of proof lies with those that claim it exists. If someone can prove it's existence and not be debunked as a hoax, then I'll begin to entertain the notion of believing it might exist.

I'll also think about believing in Unicorns once we actually dig up some remains of horses with horns.
Mermaids, when we actually find the remains of fishtailed females.
And so on...

Sounds to me like you guys are digging on me and my buddies retirement plans. Long camping trips in remote locations in search of...BIGFOOT! We'll be famous...even if its because a mountain lion eats us.

Personally think that there was probably a species of large primate living in North America at some time in our history, however, I do not think any are left. If they are still around, they are probably nearing extinction.

I do believe that Yeti, however, could exist, as there are many unknowns and rares living in the Himalayas.
How do you know that there are unknowns?
I bet I know who will think he is real... lol but no, there is not a "big foot" A species of his size and "popularity" would never be able to go unnoticed especially with the so called big foot hunters. There is a reason why there is never a clear, legitimate picture of one. I know nothing about big foot lore because I like to think about real, useful things but I would assume the believers think there is a species rather than an individual because the first "sighting" (from a quick google search) happened in 1811, no primate species can live this long even under ideal conditions with proper medical care. So the believers actually think that a whole population of these homonid creatures live here and somehow manage to evade detection with people actually pursuing them, which is completely absurd. Then there's always the "well new species are always being found so maybe he will be too!" This applies to species in obscure locations (under ice shelfs, deep in rain forests, deep oceans etc) and MOST of the time in this day and age if a completely new species is discovered it is very small (a bug, frog, etc). Or if it is a larger animal it is a small deviation from an already known species that native people or misinformed people wrongly identify, a giant hairy ape living in N America wont fit any of these scenarios of common new species discovery only adding to the substantial probability that he does not exist and is purely a legend for the naive/ bored lol
The 1st bigfoot sightings were reported by Native Americans. Something similar to our image of Bigfoot is very prominent in Native American culture, especially in the Pacific Northwest. One example someone should look at is something along the lines of this; one legend involved an orca living in a river. Very old orca bones were found in said river. Don't remember where I saw that, but I do recall a Native American man saying something along the lines of 'found any splinters of the Ark yet?'...
that picture was definitely not bigfoot... it was a chupacabra who got lost
Bingo.

I'm agnostic about bigfoot. I think that America, especially in the Pacific Northwest and a few other places, which coincidentally have the most reported sightings, could support a non-human primate. I will never know for sure that it does not exist.

How do you know that there are unknowns?

"...because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don’t know we don’t know..."-Donald Rumsfeld

...... humans are not part of the primate family... no way anyone could convince me we are part primate... as for Bigfoot, I have no idea

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. You look like a monkey and smell like one too!!!"

See proof right there.

LBF, not only are we part primate, we are 100% primate.
"Primate" is just a label. It describes mammals with specific physical characteristics.

...mammals that are characterized especially by advanced development of binocular vision, specialization of the appendages for grasping, and enlargement of the cerebral hemispheres

We humans most certainly fit those characteristics, and are therefore labeled as primates. If your concern is that you think accepting the our classification as primates means admitting that humans "came from" apes, don't worry. The primate label in itself doesn't hold that kind of power. You're misunderstanding what the classification actually signifies. It simply means we're warm blooded, air breathing, and hairy, with 2 eyes, thumbs, and big brains. Are there other mammals that have enough of the required traits to also be classified primates? Yes, a few. That doesn't make them any more human, or us any more ape. It just means that they are also warm blooded, air breathing, hairy, with 2 eyes, thumbs, and have big brains.

As I can see this quickly evolving into off topic discussions that don't need to take place here, I'll stop at that.

Really though, no opinion on Bigfoot? I thought sure Cryptozoology would be right up your alley!
