white poo

is it a sign of illness or something?

i've just done a water change on my 45 and i saw a few large white fish waste being sucked up the pipe, not sure which fish it's from i'll keep a look out.

anybody else had such a thing?

it looks like it's both my female dwarf gourami and female red swordtail. could it be from eating lots of veg? i've had veg in for the pl*co for last three days.

Poop often resembles the colour of the food recently eaten - if you were feeding veggies like potatoes or cucumber or zuchinni, this could be it. Even if you feed flake food and the flakes eaten were light yellow ones, you might see light poos.
If the poop is stringy and white, and you start to see it hanging in strings from fish, that's a sign of internal parasites.
Sometimes a fish that doesn't eat for a while will also have white poop followed by regular once it's eaten again.
Just keep an eye on everyone, if they seem fine, I wouldn't worry.

When I had fish...they had this and I treated for internal parasites and they went back to normal
