They have sturgeon in the aquarium at the mall of america in minneapolis- (although I don't know what kind or how old they are)- anyway you wouldn't think it, but that's actually a pretty good aquarium.

The Arapaima gigas grows to sturgeon like lengths but ends up in the aquarium trade. No accounting for taste... or sensibility.

I've heard this to, but I thinks its for Koi in large ponds and lakes. There's a legend in Japan about some Koi that's over 1,000 years old...
