I've been looking for some small cories that will be added to my 55g eventually. I am really wanting 3 corys that are going to stay small. Thus far I've found the panda cory. Problem is, one of the lfs does sell them however they get their cories in assortments and can't guarantee me that I am in fact buying a panda cory...

So which cories stay small?

Hello, I myself have 4 Pepper Cories in my tank. They are very fun to watch. They do a pretty good job at "Cleaning Up" and are pretty hardy and easy to care for. They can make you at time go, WTH are you doing fish. They will sometimes swim to the top and swim almost upside down and even sit on ledge areas close to the top of the surface. They go well with most tanks and pretty much keep to themselves. The only thing is, you may want to get more then just 3 as I have also learned they are happier with a small group of 5-6 of there own and they don't cause a big bioload. Hope this helps.

The number of cordora species is impressive. I keep having to use the site I linke to in my earlier post because my local Big Al's keeps getting all types of not-so-common corydoras. That site is my first stop for additional info.

Be careful....Big Al's also stocks a number of artificially dyed and a few hybrid cories, too.

Hello again, I wanted to also add that Salt & Pepper cories are good. Don't get them confused with the Pepper cories as they are 2 different types. They only get to about an inch in size.

I have not purchased any of the more exotic corydoras. Usually I'm just interested in finding out more about the fish BAs gets in.
