ok so i have a 29 gallon kind of amazonian theme (except for some of the fish) and a 5 gallon sunken ship tank i let my grandma decorate. both are sill being setup. so do you theme your tank? then post what they are (pictures are appreciated but none from me bc mine arent done)

I can't post photos because I need a camera. :( I have too many any way

uhhh, I have one that is sort of loosly themed on Florida with what looks like tree roots coming down into the water (just artistically placed wood haha) a greek theme, archeology theme, bunch of just wood and plants theme...all of them have live plants and wood so all lean towards that but some also have other pieces like the greek tank has some columns and a blue background with shadowy greek ruins....I'm planning on probably setting an African biotope and a few others in store.

My 10 gallon's (and favorite) theme was to have 2 rocks, sand, and a black background.

On my 55 I'm just trying to make it look nice, and on my 37 I WAS going for a river looking tank, but somebody keeps moving everything!

Wet Water.....all of them.

that's such an interesting theme Rbishop i'll have to try that one day. all my tanks are dry with the fish flopping around!

super glue stops that....

Currently....death :(

Tanks can have themes? lol, I just set mine up to look the way I want. My 20 long is a naturalistic theme, with sand, plants, Driftwood, and not one single complety human addition (AKA, no tacky little "No fishing" signs). My 40 Breeder is also naturalistic, but it's also got human additions, like plastic stuff. My 30tal SW setup is... um... SW? It never head a theme. The 20 I'm setting up is tacky as crap, all plastic plants right now. But I'm working on it. So, I would say my tanks are naturalistic.

i was thinking about doing a Polluted theme. leave some hosing in the bottom, maybe a jar, 6-pack rings, find some other aquarium-safe trash. set it in the sun for a bit to give the junk a nice coating of algae. put some driftwood in there that will leach tannins and darken the water to give it a dirty look. a school of some sort of catfish would go well in there because they're associated with eating trash... or crays
