Urgent help needed with black ghost knife fish

Typo fixed 6.5 now 6.0, same comments.

Advise you get a low/high end PH test kit, should test PH as low as 5.PH or lower.

Messing with PH, KH and GH unprepared is foolhardy.

I would be very careful with info from a LFS  , from almost anybody for that fact without double checking it for accuracy.

Sudden fluctuations in PH are DEADLY!

Beware of crabs....

I do double check most things the LFS tells me, but he is also a really good friend of mine, so I trust him as well, and he also has a bacehlor's in Wildlife and Fishery or something similar.

I'll do a thorough water change and wait to see what happens. Hopefully all will be well. I will keep you guys updated.

And why beware of crabs? They are awesome :P

Too many crab horror stories, but it depends on the type of crab and types of fish. Many a unwary fish sleeping/resting has become crabfood, but then again many a crab has become fishfood  :p

And the Red Claw Crabs are brackish, your BGK is not.
