Urgent: Eheim 2217 Canister set up

I just brought one and I have no clue how to do it, it is for a 55 gallon tank, I have to leave soon and I promised to set it up for my older brother, problem is, I don't know how to.

Can someone tell me? What are the 2 media basket things for? Do i put one on the very bottom and one on the very top? Help, It came with all the media.
 
The 2217 doesn't have baskets. It has two green perforated plates with legs. One goes on the bottom of the filter with the legs down, then the Ehfimech (cylinder tubes), then blue foam pad, then the Ehfisubstrat or Pro (rock like media), then white filter pad, then green plate with legs facing up.

That sounds bizarre.... Eheim does things their own way, don't they...
 
Did the filter not come with a manual??? Or am I missing something? I mean, i bought a used XP1 so i had to find the manual online to figure it all out (my first canister) but most of my HOB's ive bought new come with a manual.
 
the manual is complete trash with horrible step by steps.

I ended up solving all the problems with my brother, thanks for all the other help though.

I'm lovin the filter.
