I keep my water always to the top, but I woke this morning with lots of babies on the glass. I was kind of shocked as I just got them a few weeks ago, now there is an explosion of them LOL! not worried, I can vacume out what I do not want. but I never saw any clutches. any ways do I have to squish them to feed to my fish? ewwwww what is I just drop them in,?

are these malaysian trumpet snails? if so, they give live birth. You can squish them to feed them to your fish although they have pretty tough shells.

yes, there trumpets wow live birth !! how cool, and how many?? I saw about 10 on the glass this morning, and my subtrate is moving around LOL! looks like I will be giving them away free ! thank you hon for the info, now i know not to look for eggs :)

Soon you will have way more than you can handle. They're very prolific. They are for the most part nocturnal. That is probably why you saw them in the morning.
Take a hammer to them. Your fish will love the goodness inside.

so they can not swallow the shells whole hey? well I plan to do a gravel vac, I am sure that will get half of them up. I have been careful since I have shrimp and there still very tiny. but today its gravel day and the shrimp need to watch out!

MTS give live birth. The babies you'll find floating on the surface of the water a lot of times. They look like grains of sand. Eventually you have more than you can count. It can get to the point where you have calcium deficiencies in your water as the snails take all of it out of the water. I end up taking some of the larger snails and crushing them with needle nose pliers. They fish gobble up the snails right away and it puts some calcium back into the tank.

ditto^
