I'm starting a new tank. Does anybody know where I can find Texas holey rock or something similar in the Atlanta area?:

1) Check the classifieds of a local forum or club

2) If you're set on individual pieces I've delt with both http://www.holeyrockoftexas.com/ and http://www.txholeyrocks.com/home/. Can get pricey but it's the real deal.

3) If you want just a large amount of rock regardless of size, look, etc. then check out ebay. People well sell lots of THR for decent prices but IME the quality isn't as good. A couple of times I really had to clean out the pieces sent to me.

4) If you still cannot find anyone try contacting mel_20_20 on AC. She has sent out THR in the past through her account here. Not sure though if she still is out collecting.

Check out aquabid.com as well look for Little Africa aquatics he sells it pretty cheap but shipping is expensive where ever you go.. Try to find it local at Nursery that sells landscape rocks and such..

Check with mel_20_20 on this forum. She might still have some.

I would go to your local saltwater fish store and buy their dry reef rock. Quite often there are some very nice pieces of holey rock in there at the one enar me. Plus, it's only $1 per pound where as the local pet store charges $2.50 per pound fopr holey rock.

Yeah most places do not sell either the THR or Dry Reef rock for that price here.. If i found dry Reef base rock for a $1 a LB i would be all over it..
