Anybody has used this? I'm looking for experiences; does this cloud the water when the substrate is shaken/moved? Any problems with planting artificial plants in it? Anything at all is greatly appreciated...Thanks!

It is sand, so when stirred up it can cloud the water. Also, because it is sand, it can't be gravel vacuumed easily, so if it is touched, there will be detritus released.

alot of people use tahitian moon sand, its just expensive. Sand in general clouds your water for a while because of the particle size, same goes for tahitian moon sand because its still sand. As for plastic plants, you should have a problem with putting them in

Gus, I have it and I love it, only problem is that its EXTREMELY dusty. Be prepared to really clean it good.

i havent had too much of a problem with it.... its glass and they say not to use it with bottom feeders.
I have a 120 gallon tank and I love it, after you rince it and the sediment settles (which I would not use filtration til it settles and when you add water make sure the water drapes over some rocks away form the sand) I love it! It is Gorgeous and brings out teh colors of the fish tremendously. I would also when doing water changes NOT have the water pressure diectly on tehsand and everything will be great. Good luck~!
Use the black T grade colorquartz. I put it in my 180 with it full and all that happened is it got a little hazy.
Well, Thanks everyone!! I already set up the tank 2 weeks ago, the picture is in my photos link below if you wish to take a look. But also I used river sand and eco complete mixture I had in my other tank on the bottom and tahiti moon sand on top, but I don't want them to mix (I want to ee just Tahiti Moon Sand on top), so I threw in a few dozens of MTS to move the gravel around without having to do any suction. Would this be alright?
