I just bought a Castle for my aquarium and when I got it the tallest tower was broke off. I emailed the guy and he told me that it could be superglued. Won't that kill or harm my fish? He said it would be fine. I got it on ebay. I think I'm done there. Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure, but I think if you superglued it, left it to dry for a good while, and washed it well and thoroughly enough, it should be OK to put in!! :)

yea dont use super glue.

I have a little "tunnel" for my fish, but my dumb dog knocked it over, it hit the floor and broke, so were gonna pick up some silicone to "glue" it back togerther.

I have used superglue on tank equipment without problems. It should be well-cured before rinsing/soaking and use in the tank, just as you would any other adhesive.

It is far more adhesive than silicone, and less obtrusive.

I would be far more worried that the superglue would fail quicker than the silicone. But I haven't seen how well it lasts in a tank. Of course there are tons of varieities of superglue.

I did have him insure it but now is the hassle of getting the post office to take care of it. I do want to replace it and was just wondering about the superglue. I have since been able to talk to the guy that I usually get my fish from and he told me that he uses duco cement and has never had a problem, but I don't think it could be completely fixed so I will let the insurance take care of it. Thanks

Ive used superglue thousands of times.

Its used commonly in the SW world to glue corals down to rocks.
