did I read here that I could use this to anchor anubias to my driftwood? does the driftwood need to be dry? can I use it on java moss too? I have one medium piece of drift wood that was in an old 55g set up, and I ordered another smaller piece. The java moss that has attched itself to the wood in my 36 bf looks great, and I thought I'd do it again. Any technical advice is welcome:huh:

No it does not have to be dry ... you can use right under the wate without having to remove the wood or the plant. Just make sure there os no loose stuff where you are attaching the plant.

Best wishes,
Wes

In my experience, the gel worked great — but I was surprised to discover that it appears white when underwater. Very white and very eye-catching, lol. It really highlighted the messy job I'd done of gluing java'lets to wood.

This isn't a problem if plant growth will cover the glue eventually, but you may want to be careful with any attachment points that will stay exposed.

thanks for the heads up H2Ogal

my anubias nana has a lot of roots already developed, can I trim some of them to get to the rhizome for gluing?

Yes you can trim a small amount of the root strings. and yes be careful of a "messy" glue job.

Good lookin' out WaterGal!:thm:

Best wishes,

Stringy thin roots are unnecessary... I cut up my anubias rhizome and went nuts with the gel crazy glue. Yes, it will turn white underwater so try to not to let that part show... but it's inevitable. The plants will grow in to hide the glue eventually. If you're just gluing on an entire plant, it should be easier to hide the glue.

thanks mgamer2020, I couldn't find the gel so it's good to know regular super glue will work. My wood is dry, so when I'm ready I'll dry off the spot on the plant do I put the glue on the plant or the wood or does it matter?
