Sensei, you're right, I can shorten it. Without looking into it I know you can at least go from Darryl Hannah to Tom Hanks in Splash which gets you Apollo 13.(By the way you used 7 degrees :D )

Not to sound whiney, but I think the rules as posted in the thread are not in line with what was published in the original book. If an actor was actually in a movie with Kevin Bacon it counts as 1 step/degree. You don't count both Kevin and the other actor as steps/degrees. After all there are 0 steps separating Kevin Bacon from himself (unless he's got some psychological disorder we don't know of) :)

That makes sense, Kevin Bacon should not count as a step, he is the top of the landing, after you climb the steps up toward him...
