no light doesn't sound too good to me, dough, might get too many algae if in the sun.
for the water i use some Australian stuff called AA chlorine neutral. i believe we don't have chloramine here yet, as this one doesn't remove that.

o it was just a post on my water params and what water chemicals people used and liked? its under my profile and threads started if you wanna add your 2 cents to some of my ?'s id thankyou greatly.
