should you turn bubble wall off at night

why?
in planted tanks where O2 may be an issue.. it is recommended to turn the bubblers on.

idk i was just wondering if you should turn it off. idk if there would be a problem if they were left on

Actaully as far as plants go, it is reccomended not to use a bubble wand, or anything else that will agitate the surface of the water, especially if you are injecting co2 as this will gas off the co2 before the plants can use it.

Bubble wands are not needed for the majority of tanks. There is enough dissolved o2 in the water for fish without them. Some exceptions are if you have to increase the temp of your tank to treat for a disease, or if the tank temps rise do to surrounding enviroment (higher temps result in less dissolved o2 in the water), sick fish to ease there respiration.

So, the answer to your question is, yes it is OK to turn your bubble wand off at night, and it is OK to not have one at all , under normal circumstances they aren't needed.

Except when you have a tank like the 10 gallon of my friends, with the 15 guppies, 2 neon tetras, a Chinese Algae Eater, 2 clown loaches and uncounted guppy fry. Then it's better to leave the bubble wand on. At least as second best option.

if you're not injecting co2, then go right ahead and use a bubble wand, it will do nothing detrimental, be aesthetically pleasing, perhaps, and create a good amount of surface agitation.

if you ARE injecting co2, don't use it.

you can turn it on and off whenever you like to your mood.
