Is this the same as prime? I've also got stresscoat...

Will the two together accomplish the same thing as prime?
 
Read the label to see what it is intended to do. The Prime is meant to be used to remove chlorine/chloramine, make ammonia less toxic and remove some toxic metals effects. I'm not sure what the other products do. My Start Right by Jungle has a label about like Prime but is not as concentrated. I'm certain there are plenty of other products that would also work.

LOL I guess what I was trying to say is that it appears that when you combine stresscoat and prime, you get something that neutralizes chloramine and chlorine, adds bacteria, and neutralizes ammonia. Is there anything else that prime does?
 
Seems the reviews are all very good for stability. Hopefully it does the trick!
 
I don't use either one but depending on what you're trying to acomplish, if 'detox' is you're aim then Prime fits the bill. If bio-enhancement is you're aim then I guess Stability should work. All of this is based solely on ingredients & product directions. The most comprehensive - Prime, the most economic - Prime. 'Bio' will build given time but 'detox' is essential to start. "T"

Stability isn't an instant cycle, though it may shorten the time for you to establish a cycle by a couple of days to a week. You added fish right away, okay, but I'm sure they saw lots of ammonia and nitrite during that time, if not currently.

What is the trick that you are trying to accomplish?

Also, if you have Prime, then toss the stress coat, there is no reason to use them together.
