Hey guys,

I just picked up a new 5 gallon tank for my betta and I am currently cycling and setting it up. It is lit by 3 tiny led's but it is next to a window. I moved my amazon sword from my 20 gallon over and I am wondering 1. if I should keep it there and 2. what other plants should I add. Obviously I need to go with low light and I have only kept Amazon & Argentine Swords and Indian Water Sprite. Any advice is appreciated!

Common easy plants like anubias or java fern.

Is it OK to just use opp plain aquarium gravel? I see all this substrate made for planted tanks. Should I use that or anything else?

Java moss, anacharis, hornwort, duckweed, water sprite, java fern, and anubias are some easy plants off the top of my head.
