the tan is normal.
bamboo likes LOW light. most often when you see brown leaves, it's from too much light.

ok thants, but how do i know if its rotting cause the leaves are under water till it growes out, if it starts to rot ima take it out and wait for it to be big enough
see that first photo? keep that top tip emersed and the rest of the plant will thrive perfectly fine underwater.
i was wondering if i put that little pot decoration in there and put the bamboo on top like not in the gravel if it will grow? like the top out of the tank?
From what I understand about that stuff, as long as the majority of leaves are out of the water, it will grow great.
I believe that the roots only have to be under water, but I don't know if it will anchor unless the roots are in substrate.
Keep in mind that everything I know about this stuff is from tags I've read, and google. I've never actually had it.
