i have a 20 tall densely planted with both live and plastic plants. The tank has 2 bolivians (unknown sexes) 3 black kuhlui loaches and soon to be a trio of black bar endlers. Could a pair of peacock gudgeons be added to this setup or would the rams kill them?

Mine are in with two small schools of serpae and red-eye tetras. I'm not sure if they've even noticed them since there's no resemblance to themselves.

I have Bolivians and the smalles fish in the tank are the black phantoms, they don't even look at them. They seem to like to deal with their own kind, at least in my tank.

I wouldn't do it, but only because of the tank size. A 20H doesn't afford much room for just 2 bolivians, let alone 2 bolivians, 3 khulis, and then some peacock gudgeons (who also spend most of their time on the bottom).

do you think i could pull them off in a 29? ive been thinking of upgrading because i have the space for a 29 where my 20 is. if it could work in the 29 then il do it if not i can find room for a 5.5 and keep just a pair of gudgeons in there.

just curious what about the 5.5 idea? would they work in that or do they need more space? Not sure if my parrents would kill me for going to a bigger tank, my moms always worried about water damage if one leaks.

Have not seen any gudgeons for sale in a while, where are you getting them from
