I just spent some time watching my 29 gal. tank, and I noticed my Peacock Gudgeons are acting a bit funny. There are 7 of them in the tank, but usually the 4 females are the only ones visible (with the exception of feeding time). The males normally hide out in the driftwood and caves. All of the females have big, round bellies.......but one in particular has a very rounded belly. I noticed this female hiding in some hollow driftwood, and the two bigger males seem quite interested in her. Also, these two males have been facing off and fighting with each other, which I have never seen happen before. They seem to be quite serious about it. I'm assuming this is spawning behavior I am seeing (?) Does anyone have experience with these fish that can offer some insight?
