Nitrites, Nitrites, NITRITES....WOW I NEED SOME BIG HELP....?

you have another tank..correct?

this is cycled and running fine?
if it is..just take out some media ot squeeze some gunk from the filter into the 55's filter..it will reseed the tank.(better than biospira)

Still sleepy! lol In the 20 gallon, they are looking great. The tank instant cycled perfectly and I might do what you told me with the squeeze the gunk into my filter. Thanks for the tip star_rider. As for my parents, they say actually say leave the discus in the 20 gallon!?They say don't sell it, u lose money!!I guess they got a point...

keep them?

Juvenile discus
Sub-Juvenile discus
Sub-Medium sized red marlboro discus

Water chemistry, I know what I'm doing now :D

you can keep the juvie discus in the 20 for a short time..but if properly fed and cared for they will grow pretty quickly.
they will need a much larger tank..I don't recommend keeping Discus in ess than a 55.

When you do your water changes, ensure that you are cleaning the gravel bed as well. If you use a Python, you can easily incorporate it deep into your gravel to pick up the bottom waste to ensure a cleaner bed.

Did a good 70% water change, added 60 ml of novaqua and amquel in a cup and mixed with bacteria gunk;poured it all in while the tank was filling up with new water. 55 Gallon nitrites back to normal. Nitrites is 0. That quilt battling gunk really did the trick. Im not giving up yet though. Im still gonna check the nitrites once again. My nitrite test bottle seems sky blue for a long time now :) good. Im gonna do it again later. My discus are living in the 20 gallon for now.

I tested my tap water parameters are they are okay. Must be the cycle in my tank that I screwed up. My silver dollars are back in the 55 gallon looking great, so does my brown bristlenose pleco. Whatta relief
