Today I went to the lfs and got 2 three inch kissing gouramis. They currently are in a 20 long but will be moved to a 90 shortly. They share there 20 with a 3 inch sun catfish and a shoal of 5 albino corys. They will be moved to the 90 as well. The gouramis are eating allready. They are eating flakes and pellets. Now I do have two questions that come to my attention. The first: Will the kissing gouramis be ok with my gouramis, and the sun cat, and cories??? And the last question: I do water changes every 2 days what will the kissing gouramis growth rate be?? Are they slow growers?

P.S: I will have photos soon!

Your sun catfish will deffinately eat the cories, and the gourami will probably eat them. So, if you take the cories out of it, you're fine.

the g'mais will probably be fi ne i have kissies with other g'mais and many other fish they are slow to grow mine are about 7 mnths and only about 4-5 " i have never had any probs with them and find them a great addition to the tank. they can be quite boistrous but if kept in a large enough tank they will be fine ----- enjoy!!

The kissing gourami I have is one of my favorite fish. it was shy at first but now it has really warmed up and will go right up to your hand if you try and feed it.

I traded the sun cat and corys in and got some silverdollars and 2 lima shovelnose to go with the kissers in the 90.

I have had my kisser for about a year now and he is only 6in, I do w/c weekly and he will eat anything I put in there food wise. I have a Paradise Gouramis with him along with a Potbelly mollie, clown Loaches, and a CAE, used to also house 2 Leporinus Fasciatus also and I have never had a prob with the Kisser going after any of them, I have come to find out though keeping more than one kisser can be tough I had two to start and one took the other out but after that he has been a great fish and a good tank mate. My paradise, mollie, and kisser school together. :)

I have never had the pleasure of owning a pink kissing gourami. I guess it is because I was always warned that they can get really nasty as they mature and the liklihood of aggression problems is high. So, I shied away from them. Maybe I can give them a try sometime soon. Maybe I will just start with one and see how it goes.
