i set up my saltwater tank 4 days ago and it should have failed but thanks to everyone it doing ok so far except the yellow tail damsel
day one - i set up my tank with nano skilter, 28 watt pc lights, 295 gph powerhead, 10 gallon aga tank, 10 pounds of oceans natural white sand and 8 pounds of live rock
day 2 - i got corals, bio spira, fish ( clown fish, yellow tail damsel
day 3- after hearing everyone, i returned the corals but fish were not returnable since, purchased from petco ( i hate petco, the worst shop in the whole world)
day 4 - i am working real hard to pull the fish through and 20 percent water change
day 5 - today still working hard
yellow tail damsel might have a bacteria from getting scratched on the live rock but not sure i'll see how he is doing for another week and throw him alway if it is not curing because i don't want it to go to the clown
see what it is in the picture please

Dont "throw away" any fish!!!!
if he has an illness, its already in your tank, all you'll do is kill a fish, wich is what your trying NOT to do...
once you post pics, we can tell you what the disease, or illness is, and we can advise you how to deal with it best...

very pretty fish. Noticed a shell that looks painted...is that in your tank? Is the paint aquarium safe is so?

How's the tank cycle going...water parameters?

one shell is painted but it has been painted and left alone for quite a while like 5 years
both of the shells have been with me for 5 years and it was originally a hermit crab shells( yes my hermit was that big)
water parameter

i just got a new test kit for ammonia and ammonia is 0.25 which is bad nitrite 0 nitrate 10 i remove nitrite and nitrate by one of those baggy things that go in the skimmer hop ammonia goes down soon
i do not know if they are aquarium safe
