I would place it away from other corals/ inverts because they sting, there sweeper tenticles can reach quite far away. 6" to 1' away i would think is good enough. If you do a lot of water changes than probebly no need for supplements. I use liquid calcium and fish solution. Also, I add some bio and marine plankton as food as well as marine snow. Ive had my frogspawn for only 3 weeks and hes already split 1 of his polyps into 2. He has added some pink hues that look realy good since hes been in the tank. good luck

is this what kalkwasser is?

kalkwasser is a mixture of Ca(OH)2. it is a type of alk and Ca balance but it is not the same as products such as Kent Liquid Calcium.

could you perhaps take a picture of the euphylla so we could ID it? It is probably a hammer, frogspawn, or a tourch. I ask because hammers usualy prefer moderate light while frogspawns will take all they can get. I had my frogspawn right in the center just 4-5 inches down under a 250 watt halide and it was doing awesome. It was in the same spot under a 400, but i moved it to make room for sps (it was shading like half of the tank. haha). THey can do lower light, but they will take all they can get. Hammers tend to shrink a bit under higher lighting.
they are very easy corals to care for and one of my favorites. THey will grow pretty quickly, especialy the branching varieties and will grow very quick if you feed them raw, meaty foods often. They cannot injest phytoplankton such as marine snow.

Thanx guys, I should be gettin some pics up tonight:dance2:
