I got this guy a while ago but I wasn't able to post pictures until today. I have never seen a tail shape like his before. It reminded me of flames.

Anyone else have some pics of their guppies? I also got a Lyretail Guppy, but I haven't been able to snap a good picture of him.

Oh those are gorgeous! Where did you happened to purchase them?

Why thank you :) Sadly those are all of the same guppy. I was trying extremely hard to get a picture that would do him justice. I like each picture for different reasons.

I got him from Amazon Pets located in California. The employee was telling me that the store owner picks out each one individually from the breeder. It shows since each one was a large (I have never seen them so big before!) healthy size. I was tempted to get another male, but I got 4 cute females instead. I figured the females might be able to produce some nice fry.

Heh, this little fella has manners. My two other male guppies rushed at the females, but this guy likes to court them with lots of flare dances. It why he is so popular in that bottom picture :)

wow special..
like a different version of a betta

Good to go!!!

Mgamer20o0- Thanks :)

Lukee- lol I thought so too. Its like having a beta without having to worry about aggression.

rwilliams254- Thank you :) I was definitely ready to go home with him once I saw the lil guy.

davexstumpe- I could see why you would develop a dislike for guppies. Guppies are often so badly inbred here that they don't have a high survival rate and breeders often drop off the ugliest fry to the LPS. There are however, a few gems that stand out from the others. thanks for your comment :)

jm1212- Hehehe I actually was thinking the same thing :) I recently posted about a fry tank. I was thinking of buying two young females and placing them together in the fry tank to mate for a bit. Then I would place them all back in the main tank.

severum mama- lol Its funny because he is the only male that can get next to a female the longest. However when this happens the other males usually swim up to the female he is by and scare her away.
