Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to look over my questions. I have been reading lots of threads on this site and others, but I wanted to check a couple things prior to my setup. I have a SeaClear 50 gallon tank that is going to house 2-3 fancy goldfish. I am planning to run Eheim 2217 canister filter on it. I just had a couple questions about the setup.

1) Is the 2217 going to be all I need for filtering the tank. Will I need other devices for water flow or anything. I am trying to keep a clean looking tank, that is why I went with the canister approach(and eheim quality). I was also planning on running a bubble tube on the back wall of the tank for circulation and such.

2) Any lessons learned or tips on setting up an Eheim, so that things go smoothly.

3) I have read that almost no bottom feeders can go with a non-tropical goldfish setup. Are there any that will work in this tank, or any other ideas for extra lifeforms in the tank, maybe a couple snails or something?

Thanks
Jeff

Quick followup. I may acually go with the Eheim 2026 Pro Filter, using the two install kits by Eheim. Seems like an even better filter.
