My Jellybean Convicts laid eggs!

I didn't know that its possibe but I just noticed 2 days ago that My jellybeans laid eggs, at first I thought that jellybeans couldn't reproduce till I looked closer and noticed that the eggs were wiggling!!!! I have a pic !!

by jelly bean do you mean Pink Convict? I haven't heard of jellybean convicts i'll have to go google it cons are quickly becoming my favorite fish at the moment....

If I'm not mistaken I believe jellybean cichlids are actually a hybrid of a pink convict and a blood parrot. They are therefore a hybrid of a hybrid, so it's kind of crazy that they have apparently successfully bred.
 
yea I know!!! blew my mind !! it appears that both the male and female are both guarding the brood!

They are unfortunately easy to breed whereas most blood parrots remain sterile. I still regret until this day buying a pair and ended up dealing with several batches and watching lots of mayhem and disaster.:lipssealedsmilie:

What do you mean???? do they overpopulate or what?????
 
i have brede jellybeans for 2-3 years. they are a pink convict/parrot fish cross. they breed like mad and congrats!! they are excellent parents.
