for my 5 gallon tank, the Red Sea Nano filter wasnt cutting it for me it would back up after 2 days of a new pad and made annoying noises lol,

i put the Red Sea Nano Filter on my 2.5 rcs tank, now on the rcs tank theres two of them for extra filtration!

heres some pics of my 2.5 rcs with the new filters, had to mod my canopy to fit it.. my 2.5 betta tank with red sea nano filter and my 5 Gallon tank with my new aquaclear 20! with the foam insert on bottom, then carbon, then the biomax on top..

what kind of media do you guys use, in what order, i might take out the carbon and put another foam filter insert??

these pics are taking my my Canon SLR, tell me what u think, i need a new flash mine takes forever to recycle

I've always done the bio stuff on top...less chance of it getting clogged.

Yep. I've used these filters for over a year now, and have never had a problem using 2 sponges (coarser then finer) with the bio media on top. My tanks stay crystal clear and in a yeah, i've never had a roblem with parameters or sediment in the water column. I love AC filters.

For right now. I'd remove the carbon and save it for a rainy day. Might need to remove some meds, someday.

This will also get your bio-thingys down in the water.

Whenever you start one(AC) up. Run it wide open until that bubble is gone in the tube. It takes a little longer in the smaller ones, with the lower flow rate. So it might take it an hour to get it all out.
