Frequent lurker here. What do you all think is the most interesting fish?

I'll give examples:

Interesting fish I have:

Rummy nose tetras (they school, kinda active)

Cory cats (fun to watch kinda swimming around the bottom)

Angel fish (curious, all over the tank)

Boring fish I have:

Neon tetras/glow light tetras (mostly act like encased in a block of ice).

I guess I am looking for suggestions on fish that "do things" and what exactly makes them interesting. Any suggestions?

I think Tiger Barbs are very "interesting", but the LFS guy said they would attack anything :(

Thanks!

Ken

Danios, mollies, cherry barbs and most cichlids.

Fish I have:

6 Rummy nose tetras
5 Glow light tetras
3 Black phantom tetras
3 Neon tetras (two died)
6 Cory cats
1 bristlenose plecco
1 Angel
1 Platy
2 Mollies (small kind)
4 ottos

All the fish are in a 24 gal and 12 gal tank (both moderately planted)

Forgot to add: the black phantoms are always hiding and quite boring. I got them because some sight said they have mock battles or something ( I cry BS on that one)

Angel and BN pleco need a bigger tank than 24g

gouramis are fun to watch and mine are very interested in what I'm doing near the tank. They'll sort of eat from my hand and one of them nipped at the hairs on my arm while I was vacuuming the tank.

Danios, Mollies, guppys , weather loaches and ADF's are ones that I've had that I find interesting. I just bought 2 mystery snails today so hopefully they'll be interesting additions as well.

Ghost shrimp, Cories, Bettas, Platy, Dwarf Neon Rainbow.

I absolutely adore my little Keyhole cichlid! She (I think) never goes after any other fish of the tank (and usually a bit scared of the frenzy during feeding time), but loves peas and will horde/defend her chunk as much as possible. It's also really cute the way she shakes her food (like a dog) to tear off smaller chunks. She did however manage to catch and eat at least one of the ghost shrimp I put in. ><

*Edit* Posted this before I realized your tank size...Keyholes should be kept in a minimum tank size of ~30 gallons.
