E eohippus AC Members Feb 8, 2008 71 2 8 Jul 9, 2016 #43 I also buried the bulb on the betta bulb. Should that not be buried either? Sometimes it comes out of the sand when I do a water change and the bulb still seems firm and fresh and definitely doesn't smell.
