well i was finally ablet o get some antibacterial stuff (mela, pimafix) which is all i'm able to get so....
i'm just wondering a few things before i start treatment(i've been using pure tee tree oil for 2 days since i had nothing else, is this better than what i bought
and if the products are better what is the best way to use them, like do i mix with water before i put it in, do i put both at the same time, are these products safe for my snail & shrimp, and the bottle says to remove carbon when treating with those, is this true?
and is there any chance that the treatment will work on my hospital tank that has no filter(been cycling my new filter on my established tank, both running for about a week, has this been long enought to put it in my hospital tank with my 2 females)
please give me as much info as possible been looking up everywhere but no detailed info
thanks

pima/mela fix are usually used as 'mild' treatmens. they may not help a full fledged out break.

you will need some antibiotics for those.

As i mentionned before i'm not able to get anything stronger here(canada). So i'm trying with this, it will be too late if i'm even able to order online, one died today and the other isin't looking good
But thanks anyways

melafix and pimafix are supposed to work better together than one or the other does seperately. I don't know if they really have a synergetic effect but I use them together and they seem to help to some degree for various ailments.
You can put them in the tank one at a time or both together, does not seem to matter as they are natural ingredients and to not react chemically to each other. I do space out the dosage over a few hours so as to reduce stress on the fish , although that may not really be necessary.
As stated previously these are mild, natural substances that may not cure a full blown bacterial infection. You want to do frequent water changes in conjuction with them to have the best chance getting the tank healthy again.

I've never had the need to use any meds, but my girlfriend has, and the prima and melafix combo worked wonders.
