malaysian trumpet snails HELP!!!

They overpopulate by over feeding. If they are not being fed, they won't produce. I put them in every tank I own. :)

agree. I want some for my new tank, but can't believe i have to pay for them :(

I do love my snails, got them to get in and amongst my substrate etc. I must have thousands and thousands in my tank, just occasionally have to get rid of a few! Clean what little algae in my tank that there is up very well, wish my pleco would learn how to do that!

Nice thread bump! But good timing.....I'm going through a MTS invasion myself. I bought 2 assassins, but after 2 weeks, I still have a ton. Thinking about getting 2 more, but it's only a 10 gallon. I like the MTS, but man are they little snail factories!

I shipped some a few weeks ago. I don't think it'd kill them (the cold). The last I shipped to up to NY. I've heard my fair share of stories of them living through the winter outside :)

Glabe, don't you work at a petstore? I've seen them sometimes in petco's but that's it (not for sale but they had them in their tank...I'm sure they'd give 'em to you.)

Lol, this thread was actually regarding a project me and AwesomeM96 did back in 8th grade. I will tell ya, trumpet snails breed like crazy even in a bare tank! Started off with 10 and in 2 weeks we literally had over 200. It was crazy!

located comfortably in AZ! thanks, fellas, but i just ordered some a couple days ago :nutkick:

$12 shipped isn't too bad
