Long gloves for aqua work

My wife cut the tip of her thumb off while cutting onions and talking to me.

This reminds me when I was at senior year at high school. 3 friends and I ware preparing a final term project. I was slicing a piece of cardboard using a long metalic ruler and a new really sharp utility knife. On one of the strokes, I heppned to leave my finger tip about 2mm. (3/32") outside the ruler edge, and when I pulled the knife with all of my strength, the whole tip of my index finger fell into the cardboard.

It was until 4 years later, that my finger finally regained his beautiful rounded form.

Remember when dealing with a major cut: Direct pressure, then elevation, then pressure point. No one should bleed for 2 hours. I've stopped gun shot wounds from bleeding in less time( sorry I'm an EMT had to say that) Yes HomeDepot has the long gloves but they're to thick and not easy to manuver around the tank. I use regular ones with electrical tape.

you could always put on a regular rubber glove and just duct-tape the cuff. I've done that a few times for stitches, casts, etc.

i had to do the same thing when i got warts removed..ouch.. I had to glove and tape up both my hands and feat for about a month every day and then the ons on my hands came back and i had to do it for another month....but overall it was pretty cheap and not a bad idea if you have the stuff laying around the house.

Blah Blah Blah.... pressure, smessure. It only bleed for 45 minutes! After a little home surgery and Monsel's solution, followed by screaming, it stopped bleeding. I'm UTD on my Tetanus, what more do you want?

Medical personnel make the worst patients. :duh:
