Litter maid cat box

If I still had mine you could have it for free. It was a piece of junk IMO. You do have to pay for refills of the little plastic containers that hold the "stuff" that gets dumped into.

I have no clue how I got so many of the containers, I guess my wife wanted to make sure we never ran out. Maybe liter maid gave us some.

We had troubles with ours at first, but the liter maid people sent us a new one and all we had to do was send our old one back, they even paid postage. It was just hard to keep clean.

and that must scare the hell outta cats... could you imagine if a kitten was usin it while it did that? that would suck... got a cat stuck in ur cat genie

thats the dumbest thing i've ever seen

John, you haven't had any problems with it backing up your septic. my cousins pretty much backed up and the septic guy told her it was something in the litter the genie used that caused it-could be he just didn't know WTH he was talking about either:)

Ours has a waste line that goes to the washing machine waste line. People can hook it up to the toilet, but ours goes out the washing machine drainage.

When we were using some non-he laundry detergent in our upright washer (a big no-no, long story), we had some issues, but it was because of the excess suds in the drainage line. The cat genie has some sort of error code if there is a drainage issue.

As far as the septic, we have not had issues, yet. Maybe we will in the future. Ours really does not flush much cat liter, but some does get caught up, but not that much, it does not clump.

I did not watch the video, but there is no way to do it justice on a video. The **** thing blow dries the liter and then sprays some air freshener on the hot cat liter. It is a trip.

One of my cats wouldn't use it either because it was literally scared ****less of the thing. It was always dirty and would get clogged up pretty easily and the auto turd rake would get jammed. I use feline pine now and it is much easier.

Most have sensors on them, I am also a bit worried since both of my mothers cats are rescues and EXTREMELY skittish, the sound may scare them with the genie and the litter maid.

The sound scares the crap out of them! :evil_lol:

Okay I couldn't resist.

There is a sensor. It will not go into cleaning mode when a cat is in it. We have three cats and they are used to it.

I should get commission from Cat Genie...

If you are going to get an automatic liter box, upgrade to the cat genie, the liter maid one can be a pain-in-the-rear (but is still better than scopping every day)
