I really like the Laetacara's. They are such a neat dwarf genus. I have a dorsigera and would like to get a few more to start breeding them. Gotta post pics when you get them!!
Yup yup pics are a must. I looked them up and it seems that there are two species which alot of people get mixed up I guess due to a very similiar coloration and pattering.
I was told from my friend that they came from Jeff Rapps i am getting them bnoth for 20 bucks most def will post photos of them when i get them Monday..
Yeah not sure if i can get these now since i bought a group of Thorichthys Mixteco gold i really do not have the room now but he did get a spawn off of them and i may just hold off til my basement fish room.. Sorry my impulsive fish buying has prevented me from another species.. But on the good side is i got me some nice Mixteco's i will start a thread on them, also got some wild caught Cutteri from the collector himself tonight..
What river system are the Cutteri from? I looked up the Thorichthys sp. "Gold Mixteco" online after seeing them on Jeff Rapps stock list but I didn't care for the ones shown on google. I did like Thorichthys pasiones though those look awesome. Laetacara thayeri is a nice lil species of cichlid pretty cute. Stays small why not setup one of those tanks collecting dust in the garage and put em in it?
See Mike another reason to get the Wifey to let you move sooner in 6 months instead of a year which should be what like 11 months now. lol
Hello just over from MFK and saw this thread, Thayeri are great looking acaras. I saw them on Jeffs site and I'm considering getting some. I'm currently working with a group of Krobia Xingu Orange. Acaras are great fish to own. Looking foward to seeing the pics.
