Koi Tattoo Design :]

Well, I did habrosus. Yeah, I know. I made them look really bad.
Sorry for such a bad drawing! I'm not very good at corydoras, they have A LOT of finnage and detail to their patterns.
Anyway..... Here is the really crappy picture..

Yeah aren't they tough?? But it's cute! Needs more wiggle butt!! :p: Keep it up!

I tried a betta yesterday... Not the best fish for a first attempt, but their mouths are fun to draw!

Neat, either would make a pretty epic tattoo!

Don't take this the wrong way, your'e definitely not a bad artist, but if it were me I would find a really good tattoo artist and let him take the idea into his own hands... I know it sounds cool to design your own tattoo, but if the artist is forced to follow your design it can sometimes result in a poor looking tattoo.. I mean it IS permanent. Maybe give him your drawing and let him go at it... Just my suggestion. I have a really great tattoo artist in my area and when I took my design to him he made some changes that I would not have thought of and it came out looking great. My other friend who has been going to this guy for 10 years doesnt take designs to him anymore and just tells him the basic idea because the guy is an amazing artist and the tattoos always come out looking phenomenal. Just my $.02. Again, dont take this as me bashing your drawing or anything, I know I couldnt draw em that well (I'm more of a cartoon guy), but drawings and tattoos work very differently and what looks good on paper doesnt always look good on skin.

EDIT: I went back and read your post more and realized it doesnt really sound like you were considering getting a tattoo, but maybe others that are can maybe take something away from my post.

Haha yeah, these drawings are no where near tattoo-worthy, I was just drawing, tattoo style.
I have NO intention of really getting these tattoos, and even if I did, I wouldn't use my own designs, like you said, I'd get a pro to do it for me.

Thanks for the info, though, and I hope no one was going to print my drawings out and get a tattoo!
Or attempt to do so with their own drawing, unless, of course, they are tattooists :)

Ahh, I threw away the first sketch. :p:

Just did a sketch of Sephy while on my lunch break. Flickr is being a pain so just click -> http://www.flickr.com/photos/47038468@N06/5149774318/

I have a bad habit of sketching in ballpoint pen... So sorry for the sloppiness!

Okay, finally back home on a PC. Here ya go :)

Those are great pics! :D Cartoony.

Well, your hab is hands-down better than mine. Those 'fishycat' drawings are cool too :]
And that picture of Sephy is great! I can't draw bettas, well, I don't think I can. Maybe I'll go give it a shot sometime.

yeah, it'd take me awhile to draw something in the classic tattoo "style" like your koi pics. But that 2nd one (your avatar) could be turned into a habrosus cory with very little effort! The body pattern is the hardest part...

You could try looking at the close-up pics I take of Mr. Red (check the Betta Headshots thread in Anabantoids). Veiltails are the easiest - aside from plakats, of course.
