Baby food isn't really recommended long term for health. It doesn't have all the right nutritional values and they will get spoiled on it. You're better off blending your own and adding a reptile vitamin and calcium supplement. But even better is this http://www.repashy.co.uk/

my problem with coconut fiber is that it shrinks a LOT if the humidity drops. the package says that the brick-sized lump will expand to over 1 cubic foot when wetted out, and this is true. but as it starts to dry out, it will go back to being brick-sized. i no longer use it even as a small constituent of potting soil, because there is no way i can keep a pot (much less a planter) at a constant enough moisture level, even indoors.

you may have better luck inside a mostly-sealed paludarium, where you can hold the humidity fairly constant, but i recommend using something else

I used the Eco Earth brand of coco fiber with my pixie frog and never had a problem with it shrinking. One brick would fill a five gallon bucket when I wetted it and it would last me forever. I loved the stuff.

Make sure you watch how much crickets you give them and make sure that you gut load them and get them from a good source. They're not big bug eaters, so a lot of people give them crickets only once every other week. If you do it too often they can hold out and wait for the crickets and not eat their other food. In addition, the Repashy is balanced in a way that crickets aren't even necessary, so are more like a treat.

This is a good fact sheet on feeding: http://www.moonvalleyreptiles.com/crested-geckos/diet-nutrition/feeding-faq

I'm in planning mode, but it'll be a long while till I can get the crestie. Putting the tank into storage till I can set it up once I'm able to. Currently still have to set up the leipard gecko tank for my leopard. Moving him from a 10 to a 20L.
