Could be a nassarius snail.

yep it's a nass. tonga nass it looks like (the biguns). i've got one that looks just like it

I have 2 like that, I forgot that and kept thinking it was moving awfully fast until it struck me that there was more than one with the shell pattern.

It appears to be a babylonia whelk, and not reef safe by any means.

There is a nassarius tonga with a very similiar shell pattern and such. The snail in the first photo doesn't have the leopard pattern to it's syphon the way many whelks do. I know my two certainly don't behave like whelks and have been perfectly behaved tankmates in my reef.
