I guess clown loaches dont mind a crowed tank. =p

Mine do that too, I sometimes see them swimming across the tank nose-to-tail... it reminds me of those old cartoons of elephants where each one is holding onto the tail of the one in front. :)
 
My 5 clown loaches dug a small cave under the drift wood to be their bedroom.
 
I have 6 clown loaches as well and they are inseperable. One time when I was doing some major cleaning in my tank and I pulled out a piece of driftwood out of the tank - a clown loach swam out as I was taking it out of the water. Than another, and another - all 6 were in the piece of driftwood. The hole was small and I had no idea that they were all able to get in there.
