Are these pumps really that good? I'm in need of some new powerheads and have been thinking about buying these but I want some insight to whether or not to buy these. :help:

on my 75 I use 2 #3 but found I needed to put back in a maxi-jet 1200. Other than that, well worth the money. I have mainly softies, lps and a couple of sps.

I would go with the #3's..I have 2 #2's, I have a 40 Breeder and also run 2x maxijet 900's, and aquaclear 500 HOB and a Remora skimmer with a maxijet1200..I keep softies and LPS

I like them. Maxi mods are nicer, but the hydors are still pretty darn good. And it's not a good thing to run on a wavemaker.
In my 40 breeder i had a 4, 3 MJ 1200s, a 300 GPH HOB filter, and my skimmer. It was mainly sps, but there was everythign in there.
in my 10 gallon right now, i have a 2, my skimmer, a 100 GPH HOB fuge, and i have 1-2 more 50 GPH powerheads just to keep the bottom clean.....
but of course, i like a LOT of flow.... you could definatly get by with less.

I love mine. I purchased 2 Koralia 4's for my 75g FOWLR at the advice of several here. I couldn't be happier. The 4's might be overkill for what your needing at 1200gph but they have worked great for me. With my latest adjustment of them I have maybe 1 small dead spot. I am still looking into putting a coulpe maxijets along the back corners just to help there.

Anyway, I love mine. Well worth the money.

The only downside is the looks... It's quite massive (especially the 4's) and they look like some sort of missiles... But other than that, I really like mine. Like someone says above, it really spreads out the flow, so there is no single spot that's getting blown away all the time.

I love mine. I have three Koralia #4's on my tank. The added bonus I've found is that they have longer leads than the MJ's so easier to get to a socket with them especially if you want them lower in your tank.
