How many (small) mollies, platies, and (small) cories can I fit in 30 gallon?

I don't think molies are ugly-looking at all. I think they are actually really pretty especially the black and dalmation mollies. I have 3 males who get along great and I think they are really cute even though they always look mad. If you want to get mollies you should get 3 females to one male or 2 females to one male. Like someone said, you can get 2 females and a male. It's not a good idea to get more males than females because males will chase or annoy the females and having a ratio of 2:1 of females is better than sticking a female into a sausage pool of males.

I think (maybe I'm wrong, but..) ILOVEBETTAS is looking for the answer to this question:

"If I have a mixed tank of Platies and Mollies and Corries, what would be a good breakdown of the numbers for each one in a 30 gallon tank? By breakdown of the numbers, how many of each sex of each species could be successfully kept together without overloading the tank?"

I think she really wants the mollies and wonders if it would work, alongside of having good sized groups of both platies and cories, too.

I'm hoping this is what she is wondering, because I have a very similar question. For instance, if I have 5 platies and 3 upside-down cories and a betta, would I overload the tank by adding two mollies - a male and female.

As I understand it the inch per gallon is a loose rule. It depends more on the mass of a fish -how thick/wide they get, as well as long. Also, diff kinds of fish have different "dirtiness" levels.

So, if anyone could suggest, if they had a 30 gal. tank, and were to put these 3 kinds of fish (platy, molly, cory) in it, how many of each would you have?
Thanks!
