I normally "cook" (i calling cooking ;) ) several days prior to my wc. Acutally more like a week. After I'm done with the wc and get every thing cleaned up, I will add some prime to my jugs, fill them up, cap them and then store them by the tank waiting for the next wc. Just curious as if this is a good or bad thing? thoughts?

It sounds kinda obbsessive. All you need to do it add the Prime, or let the water sit with an airpump and airstone in it for a day..

If you're adding Prime, I would say it's an unnecesary thing. You can use tap water instantly if you add Prime to it.

A couple weeks ago, someone mentioned the dangers of letting water get stagnant, and mentioned putting an airstone in to avoid this. I asked why--bacterial growth once the chlorine is gone, maybe?--but no one answered.

I don't do that. During water changes just before I add the water to the tank I ad a capful of stuff then let it sit for a few minutes then I add it to the tank then I add another capful.

I add prime to the water flow as its filling up..........:)

I just put a good dribble in my bucket before I fill it up with water, to make sure the water and prime are nice and mixed up and I let it sit, all the way from the faucet to the tank! lol, I just dump it in right after the bucket is filled.
