How long do german blue rams live?

It matters what size and how colorful? If they are hormone injected mass bred then usually not long. If they are natural breeder german blue rams a long time. You can tell by the size and how colorful they are. If they are only like 2 inches or less but extremely colorful they might not last long. If they are big you should be fine or small but not very colorful.

how would you be able to tell the difference if they're extremely colorful or not?
they are about 2 inches, but the female is not too colorful, but the male is most of the times, other times, hes pale.
